How to Prepare

 

 

Actually it's very easy to prepare Hashima,all you need to do is to follow 3 steps as below:

Stewed hashima with rock sugar (a week’s worth):Material :Hashima 9.4g / Rock sugar 75g

 

1.Soak hashima in 1000c.c. cold water for 6 hours until it becomes translucent.
2.Place hashima on a white china and remove all impurities. Drain and rinse well.
3.Put the hashima, rock sugar, and 100c.c. water into a bowl with a tight-fitting cover. Put in the steamer and add one cup of water in the steamer. Steam boil until the steamer is automatically turned off.

* Stewed hashima has a glutinous texture and can be preserved in the refrigerator for 7 ~10 days. *

Hashima tastes smoother when served cool. Add a spoon of hasma to milk, soymilk, or almond tea, and the result is a tasty, healthful delicacy!
